The North Berwick Highland games

We arrived at the Highland Games and the weather was absolutely miserable! It was cold. Luckily it was not raining.

On the way (mostly single lane country road with hedge!) we saw this rock sticking out of the sea and an abandoned ruins of a castle.

It took us an hour to get there. If you look on the map, North Berwick is on the coast of Scotland. It is a small rural town.

It was just like the books of 'Paddington Bear'. A country show with games for he little ones, stalls selling little infant kilts, brogues and pins and also normal commercial things. There was a stall selling lovely iPad covers, coffee mug holders, and little purses out of tweed. Lots of silver jewellery. Wool at £20 (+_R400) a ball of 100g. Very nice, but making something out of such expensive wool will make even me nervous.
