I took the train (no 14) the first stop on the line around 10:20.
First stop was the Paisley Abby. It is a Church of Scotland. It was founded in 1163, but very little of the original building still stands.
Outside to church. Enter on the left if grass.
From the back of the church facing forward. The church used to be Catholic which explains the style.
It has very rich history.
You see references to John Witherspoon everywhere. He was very important in drawing up the charter for the Declaration of the American independence. He was born in Paisley.
At the front of the chapel.
The flags above are so old and tattered. They have seen many a war.
